The clues are all golf terms, with references to other answers replaced by its clue letter in brackets. The most noticeable such replacement is "conse[F]utive", which disambiguates clues [F] and [I] (which are CUT and FADE respectively -- which can also be determined from the alphabetical order of the answers).
