The shapes aren't complicated. For the ones where you can't picture the result in your head, try recreating the lines on a piece of paper.

This puzzle was inspired by the paper Folding and Punching Paper.

The first half of the puzzle is a pun, since it consists of engineering drawings for bent sheet metal parts. The second half of this puzzle was originally intended to make use of Moon Type, an alternative alphabet developed for the blind. It was later changed to use Braille instead, but either way the intent was to pay homage to Toph, the blind earthbender who invented metalbending.
