I was walking through a quiet neighborhood here in Mexico, and passed a muralist trying very hard to mimic Diego Rivera. I've always been a mural fan, so I went up to the painting, which was drying very quickly in the heat, to get a closer look at the sketchbook. To my horror, I discovered that the painting taking shape on the side of the building was not an original sketch at all, but a copy of a picture from a children's coloring book, which even specified which color to paint each section!
