- Resist getting points, unless you can get them all and shoot the moon.
- Every card appears twice in a 48 card deck; score with meld and play; 10s are higher than kings.
- A play must be higher than the last; poker hands are valid combinations, and 2s are high.
- Deem the jack of trump high, followed by the other jack of the same color; there are 24 cards in the deck.
- Dealer gets the kitty; one point for nobs, two if you play the card that makes 31; if you lose by 31, you're skunked.
- Inquiring about the rules. One card penalty.
- Attack and defense are the roles of players; 36 card deck, try to get rid of all your cards.
- Game depends on the suit, but a bid of 6 is a small slam; one player in each round is the dummy and the other three play.
- One last card dealt is trump; sitting across from partners, you get one point for each trick above 6.
- Need to form meld and eliminate deadwood from a 10 card hand; if all the cards in your hand meld, you get a bonus.
- Auctionless partnership melding game; minimum initial meld depends on your team's current score; you have to make a 7 card meld before going out.
- Lead goes to the winner of the bid; Five players with a 40 card deck; players bid cards, and whoever has that card is their partner.
